Update: Tom Daschle

The latest Casualty on Capitol Hill is Troubled Tax-Evader Tom Daschle, who today withdrew his name for HHS Secretary. “The Bloom is Off the Rose”, states Fred Barnes. After only 2 weeks in office, Mr. Obama’s nominees for cabinet posts are tumbling like dominoes. Lynn Sweet, of the Chicago Sun Times, stated that Mr. Obama either ignored or was distracted by his proposed stimulus package and thus failed to investigate former senator Daschle’s background of the last four years. Charles Krauthammer, a Fox News contributor; stated that Sen. Daschle earned over $1,000,000 over the last 4 years in a law firm, even though he was not an attorney. President Obama states “I want to make sure we’re not screwing up again.” So who will be the next HHS nominee: could it be, could it be: HOWARD DEAN? Yes, his name has been floated out there.

Another “casualty” this day, was Nancy Killifer. She was nominated for Mr. Obama’s new position of “Chief Performance Officer.” Her name was withdrawn after the AP confirmed Ms. Killifer did not pay unemployment tax for her household help. Ironically, her position was to oversee “honesty in government.” Do we see a pattern emerging here? Who will be the next to “tumble”?

Economic Stimulus Package

According to former Clinton advisor Dick Morris, the Democratic proposed package now on the Hill will do nothing to heal our present economy, but will only spike inflation. As most of you may know, this package is full of “pork.” Like every other borrower, the government must pay back borrowed principal plus the interest on its debt. With China’s economy facing a downward spiral, they may be unwilling to buy some of our debt, as they have in the past. Send a message to Congress, telling them to vote NO on this package. Secretary of State Lawsuits

As some of you may be aware, in the fall I filed a lawsuit in an attempt to compel Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to certify Mr. Obama’s eligibility for the POTUS ballot in Ohio. I did fail in that attempt; however; I do feel this suit helped to bring attention to this controversy. Phil of The Ride Side did an excellent story in the Ohio section and follow up to this.

ACORN

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and groups similar were believed to have had a major impact on voting in several states in Election 2008.

Please sign this petition to STOP ACORN! You may also write your own personal letter to Congress using the links to the right.

2nd OBAMA NOMINEE IN TREASURY TROUBLE

With President Obama’s second cabinet post nominee in the last weeks to have IRS issues, Tom Daschle, the former senator ousted in 2004; will be facing hearings in Congress. One might ask: do you want this man in charge of your Social Security and health care? What possible qualifications could this man have for the job? His tax issues, as far as I am concerned, trump Tim Geithner’s. If the average Joe, take “Joe the Plumber”, for instance, if HE didn’t pay the T-men, where do you think he’d be? IN JAIL, MAN! Should Daschle be confirmed? I say an emphatic NO!
