“Change You Can Believe In.”

We sure got that “change,” didn’t we? Higher taxes, higher unemployment, and bigger government. Like the clunker on sale at the used car lot, the run-down house which can be “brought up to code, for just a couple hundred bucks.”

How many Obama voters are now having “buyer’s remorse”?

I’d wager a ton. Maybe millions. There’s probably a bumper-sticker out there for this, but if there is regrettably I haven’t seen it.

The people who didn’t vote for The One saw the light. We know a huckster when we see one. A snake-oil salesman. Who would sell us a pile of “no-goods.”

So what’s in store for us this day? Everyday is a marathon. “Don’t watch the hand behind my back. Watch the one out front.”

An Overdose of Job-Killing Taxes. I am sure the pun is intended. We warned you Mr. Obama. Tons of companies will be taking write-offs to protect their stockholders. Medtronic. Zoll Medical Group. Theken. These are bio-medical companies who will suffer because of those “job killing taxes” from Zero-care and are gonna be laying off big-time. Adding to the already mega-high unemployment rates. Way to go. And how’s that “healthcare negotiations will be transparent” thing going for ya? Yep. We know how that went too: (sorry about the 30 second ad, I guess the MSM has to make $$ somehow, since no one is watching them;)

So congratulations are in order Mr. Obama! You have won yet another award! You’ve accomplished the “Big 3.” Bigger government, bigger taxes; and bigger unemployment.

Me thinks we are way…far… from the bottom of this.

Salem Witch Trials to be Revived in DC: Update 4/14/10

Update 4/14/10. Waxman cancels Witch Trials. Fearful of CEOs answers about Zero-Care. DARN!

Yeah. You heard that right. I wish I could say I am stunned, but nothing about what this Administration does or wants to do “stuns” me anymore.

The “witches” being hunted are the so-called “godless” CEO’s of several major US companies who have announced they will be taking billions of dollars in charges in 2010 because of the loss of Medicare Part D subsidies in 2013 due to the passage of Zero-care.

I did a tongue-in-cheek initial expose of this story a few days ago Obama’s New Home: Fall-out Shelter. The One is deeply disturbed, distressed, chagrined and embarrassed that CEO’s of many large companies such as AT & T, Deere & Co., Caterpillar, Prudential, Valero Energy and probably 3M and Verizon (and many more to come) are actually acting responsibly to uphold the integrity of their companies. But then the word “integrity” is not in the Thief-in-Chief’s vocabulary.

This sorry saga has now escalated to the point that Taxpayer-Money-Waster-in-Chief Henry Waxman, via Michelle Malkin:

Now, Waxman is targeting the heads of Deere, Caterpillar, Verizon and AT&T with “invitations” they can’t refuse to testify at an April 21 hearing on their public statements regarding Demcare-caused writedowns. Waxman’s fishing expedition letters sent out last week “asked” the company heads to produce copious documentation.

Although some good news in all this. These “witch trials” could actually have the ability to create some new jobs for wood-workers. Looks like pillories are about to come back in style.

Obama’s New Home: Fall-out Shelter

I can’t help it. I am ROFL, LMAO and LOL. Less than 10 days after Zero-care went into effect, The Thief/Briber/Godfather/Narcissist- in Chief is apparently going to need a new home. He is feeling the first “ill-effects” (pun is intended) of his rammed-into-law Health Care bill. The fallout is already in a “free fall.”

Several large companies, among them Deere & Co, Caterpillar, AT & T, and AK Steel Holding announced they were taking massive charges because of devastating effects of the law. More companies are expected to follow suit.

Via American Spectator:

The companies are taking the charges because in 2013 they will lose a tax deduction on tax-free government subsidies they have had when they give retirees a Medicare Part D prescription-drug reimbursement. Many of these companies have more than 100,000 retirees each. AT&T may have more than three-quarters of a million retirees to cover.

We tried to tell you Mr. Obama. Like a little kid not listening to his mother you just had to have your way. Your power-grab and faux-care law is already coming back to bite you in the butt. And like the little spoiled brat that you are, you are now stomping your feet and screaming “NO! NO! NO!” It’s even gotten to the point where you are saying “it’s a GOP plot.”

At least he didn’t “blame it on Bush.”

It’s even been reported that The One is so distressed he is calling the CEO’s of these companies and telling them he is being “embarrassed.” That’s what you get for not playing nicety-nice, Mr. Obama. It always comes back to haunt you.

And this is the best part. Now we are apparently going to be paying beaucoup taxpayer bucks because  Henry “Incompetent”  Waxman and Bart “Judas” Stupak have announced they will be holding hearings in April to investigate the claims of these companies. Sigh.

According to a New York Times article, James A. Klein, the president of the American Benefits Council, called the provision

“a serious mistake that is having negative and unintended consequences.”

More “fallout” to come, I am sure of that.

Just make sure you don’t tell Biden where the shelter is. I recommend taking him there blindfolded.

Navy SEAL Scott Taylor Deserves our Support for US House VA #2

I had the pleasure on interviewing Scott Taylor via telephone, candidate for US House VA #2. Scott taylor

Scott Taylor is a former Navy Seal and Iraq War veteran. Because of his extensive military background, Scott has the  knowledge and understanding of the needs of our military Men and Women; whether it be in equipment, Federal funding, and/or physical and psychological support.

Scott is probably best known as our most ardent champion in the support of the three Navy Seals facing court martial proceedings for allegedly mistreating one of the terrorists involved in the murder of the Blackwater USA security guards. Here is Scott on FoxNews speaking out on the issue:

Scott’s most memorable quote from the interview:

We are using tax dollars to prosecute our heroes, while at the same time using tax dollars to send terrorists to our soil and giving them the rights of you and I. [sic] Politics have no place on the battlefield.

On his website Scott has set up a Support the Seals fund where all of us can show our support of these three brave men.

I questioned Scott extensively on matters pertaining to legislative issues and on the Constitution. He can bring to the table in DC extensive insight to issues that can put our country back on its correct path.

Scott is now a small business owner and understands the challenges facing these businesses today. He believes they need support, rather than being taxed into oblivion.

Scott supports:

* Not raising taxes

* Simplifying the existing tax code

* Abolishing the death tax

* Not raising the capital gains tax

* Stopping tax hikes on businesses operating internationally

* Strongly opposing cap-and-trade

Scott also believes:

I believe that marriage is sacred and should be recognized only between a man and a woman. I also believe life should be protected from beginning to end.

I asked him to clarify the above, and he stated he is 100% pro-life.

FYI the Virginia primary is June 8. The incumbent is Glenn Nye who is running for re-election. Rep. Nye received a dismal 32 rating from The American Conservative Union.

A Pyrrhic Victory for Obama

I have to admit this pretty much sums up how I feel right now. Over half the citizens of America are worn out from the rallies, the Tea Parties, the Town Hall meetings, the endless Obama-mercials from the Liar in Chief.

So just like after any battle that is lost, one must take a short rest, re-group and re-strategize.

The Narcissist in Chief thinks he has won. But it will be a short, pyrrhic victory. One which will have a devastating cost to the Victor but the realization is not there.

But that “reality check” will come on November, 2, 2010. We have our eyes on the 219 who voted for Zero-care in the House. We have our eyes especially on the seats of Pelosi, Frank, Reid, Boxer, Stupak, Lincoln and in my district Kaptur. I can’t wait to see the look on all their faces when the polls come in to say:

Guess what, you guys! You’re done! Gone! Finito! Acabo! Sayonara! Arrivederci!

This will be the cost of “failure to listen to your bosses.” After all, it is us who signs your paycheck. And we are not pleased. Your arrogance and hubris have astounded us. You fought us, we lost. Now you are still crying, because we are angry that you have not represented our wishes.

But have no fear. WE THE PEOPLE will speak loud and clear in November. And your “victory” will be extremely short-lived.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
