MoveOn.org promotes NPR for Helen Thomas’ seat over FoxNews w/help of progressive cell phone company

My mantra has always been “it’s always good to know the ways of one’s enemies.” And oh, how I just loved NetRoots. As an infiltrator while at the RightOnline Conference last week. I came home with a huge bag of goodies from all the progressive orgs, including MoveOn. And naturally I signed up for e-mail alerts from all. Including MoveOn.

Today I received the first one from MoveOn. A decision will be made on Sunday, according to them, as to which group will be “chosen” for the now-disgraced Helen Thomas’ seat at the White House pressers, front and center seat mind you.

And it turns out MoveOn, the ultra/progressive/liberal hard-*ssed group that Obama is in love with, is promoting none other than NPR to fill that seat. Which reminds me, I stopped listening to NPR’s propaganda years ago, because hey NPR, you guys don’t tell the whole story and are biased, even though you are getting up to 16% of your funding from the taxpayers!

So here’s a copy of the e-mail I received asking me to sign their petition to have tax-payer funded NPR cough put into Thomas’ seat instead of that propaganda-smearing-24/7-race-baiting-Fox-News. I had to block out the “sign the petition” section because it linked to my “Mrs. James Bond” alias and we can’t have the libs discovering that can we?

Dear MoveOn Member NPR

So here is a screen shot of the actual petition I received, minus my alias:

Moveon NPR

But wait! That isn’t all! Take a look at the letter where it says:

So we’re joining our friends at CREDO Action to petition the Correspondents’ Association to award the seat to a real, public news organization: NPR.

Normally this “CREDO” would have passed me by, but they were listed as an advertiser in the NetRoots program book I brought home with me. A benign-looking cell phone company. But upon further inspection on the web, I discover CREDO was started with the explicit purpose of donating a portion of their proceeds to progressive organizations. From their website:

And then — long before “corporate social responsibility” is a buzzphrase — they develop an innovative long distance service where 1% of your charges goes to progressive nonprofits you vote on, your bill serves as a progressive newsletter and your phone company as a progressive lobby.

Here is a list of the “causes” that CREDO is championing. First mentioned is NPR v. FoxNews. According to CREDO:

It’s bad enough that we have to fight the constant smear campaigns and appeals to racial paranoia from FOX and the right-wing media. We can’t let them have the best seat in the White House press briefing room and the legitimacy that it confers. [sic] Demand that a representative of a legitimate news agency get Helen Thomas’ White House Briefing Room seat, not a right-wing shill from FOX.

So bottom line is we have a far-left Obama-loving (and vice-versa, I might add) progressive group MoveOn joining with a cell phone company with a progressive agenda touting the seating of a taxpayer- funded radio station which is supposed to be non-partisan but is left-leaning and conveniently only gives you info they want you to hear. Anyone else see anything wrong with this picture?

OK FoxNews. Where is your petition?

14 Weeks, brought to you by the Republican Governors Association

OK, this is a pretty fun one. But realistic. By midnight on Nov. 2 2010 this is gonna be a reality. California, hope you have your results in by 9pm PST.

Catch Holder at about the 45-50 second mark saying

We have always been, and I believe we will continue to be, a nation of cowards.

No commentary necessary.

Obama records propaganda demo video for his H/C website

A couple weeks ago I showed everyone Obama’s new website Take Healthcare into your own hands. Please visit my previous post where I discuss my findings after perusing the site.  It’s full of misleading info and actually there was no info available for the “plan” I checked out and was interested in. Today I received an e-mail from Nancy-Ann DeParle, Director, White House Office of Health Reform announcing Obama himself had created a demo video of how to navigate his misleading site. Ms. DeParle stated that we are in for a “treat” because it isn’t everyday a President “takes time out of his busy schedule to record a video about a website.” She states

As the President said, “no matter what your age or situation, there’s something for everyone at HealthCare.gov.” You can help us spread the work about this great new resource by forwarding this email and video to your friends and family.

It’s only 3 1/2 minutes. Let’s listen in:

He states:

  • By 2014 no one will be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition.
  • Under the “Families with Children” section a parent can see the Healthcare Deform has banned lifetime caps.
  • Small business owners can learn about tax credits to help cover employees & browse through private insurance plans (yep, they are all gonna pay the fine cuz it’s cheaper than providing the insurance)
  • Young people can learn about how they can stay on their parents plan until they are age 26 (how about getting off your heinies like I did when I was 21?)
  • Propaganda on how we are strengthening Medicare (he doesn’t say the law cuts $500 billion from Medicare).

Obama says about halfway through:

That’s why we passed this reform. To put Americans in control of their healthcare.

I guess he hasn’t seen this chart yet prepared by Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX).Obamacare Chart I rest my case.

Shell games & money laundering invade New York campaigns

WFP Exec Director Dan Cantor

WFP Exec Director Dan Cantor

Please visit Parts I and II for the background and networks of all these corrupt entities which affect not only New York but other states and the US electoral integrity.

Part III

Money laundering and corporate shells invade New York under the guise of Data & Field Services, a for-profit company set up by the non-profit Working Families Party created by Dan Cantor and ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis.

The first lawsuit sprung up last fall, complainants being five aggrieved Staten Island voters who claimed NY Councilwoman Debi Rose bested Ken Mitchell because she paid the nominal fee of $19,000 to Data & Field Services for campaign services when the going rate is around $100,000.

Data & Field Services, created by corrupt Working Families Party provided Rose with phone banking, petitioning and polling. One of the complainants Randy Mastro, a former Deputy Mayor under Rudy Guiliani states:

“The Working Families Party is using its captive corporate shell, DFS, to launder illegal campaign contributions to candidates the party supports. Debi Rose’s campaign is a perfect example of how this works.”

Mastro asked a judge to order Rose to pay the full market value of the services she received from Data & Field Services.  The New York Campaign Finance Board had declared Data & Field Services an arm of the Party and has said anything WFP undertakes over and above what Data and Field Services provides as a campaign donation.

Since corporations are limited to giving political candidates $5,000 worth of services or cash in a calendar year, the discounted DFS rates are tantamount to in-kind political contributions that never get reported, the suit says.

So all you guys out there are asking me why should a New York Councilwoman’s troubles and lawsuits brought against her matter to me, after all I’m on the other side of the Hudson?

I’ll give you an example. This is why. I give you horn-dog former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer.

Former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer

Former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer

Spitzer ran under the WFP party line and Democratic party line during his gubernatorial campaign. The tentacles and feelers of these two groups and their founders, Bertha Lewis of ACORN fame and SEIU et al reach far beyond Staten Island. Also Working Families Party illegally expended party funds in a democratic primary to elect a district attorney in Albany, who would later try to white-wash Spitzer’s involvement in trooper gate before recanting and finding Spitzer’s agents at the base of the plot.

My next post will reveal the scandalous charade of other federal and state representatives who have a vested interest in WFP. But please read on for the climax of the Mastro suit.

Daniel Cantor, Executive Director of Working Families Party apparently thought he wouldn’t wake up to find a dead horse in his bed, because he initially felt a judge’s subpoena to turn over documents of Data and Field Services was an offer he could refuse. Cantor eventually did a paper dump on the Staten Island Supreme Court which angered Justice Anthony Giacobbe. Working Families Party and Data and Field Services are supposed to be separate entities, however they share office space and the now-disgraced ACORN NY HQ was also in the same building.

Cantor’s proclamation of a  “separation of powers” between WFP and DFS appears to be a fictitious attempt to do an end-run around campaign finance law to enable WFP to exceed legal limits on donations to its candidates. After much drama and a standing-room only courtroom audience, Data and Field Services was ordered to become a non-profit and put reforms into place to ensure WFP-backed candidates would not have an unfair advantage in campaigns.

So the bottom line is any money spent by WFP makes to the campaign of its candidates can’t be considered an independent effort- it must be disclosed as as in-kind contribution.  And of course the GOP got into the mix, slamming what they call the WFP “game plan” and having a hissy-fit:

“They’re dancing on the edge of the law — but they know where the edge is,” said the source.

In the next post I’ll reveal the US senators, governors and a gubernatorial candidate in the mix.

Obamacare nightmare flow chart, brought to you by Congressional Spenders

Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX #8)

Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX #8)

Here we go, folks. Another nightmarish chart from Congressional Spenders. The new Obamacare Chart prepared by Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX #8). I had the pleasure of being a part of a conference call with Rep. Brady. Last year Congressman Brady’s Health Care Bill Chart was a worldwide viral sensation. TODAY, he has unveiled a special visual project highlighting how out of control the expansion of the federal government has become.

Last year’s chart had a major impact due to it’s powerful graphics — and he hopes this new chart continues to show the American people what a bureaucratic mess ObamaCare will be for patients.

Obamacare Chart

This chart was meticulously compiled over the last four months after perusing the 2,841 pages of Obamacare that no one who voted for the bill bothered to read. This so-called “reform” has morphed into a new monstrosity of mandates, taxes & rationing, it will hurt seniors and hand healthcare into a bureaucracy which has now taken over 1/6 of our economy. This is a massive expansion of government & the bewildering complexity of this new law is overwhelming.

The HHS czar, Kathleen Sebelius, has 2200 references in the law and 600 new authorities which cannot be challenged. On the chart everything in dark blue to the left are expansions, orange are those empowered with rationing healthcare in the future. In the bottom left hand corner in blue, 150 new bureaucracies and boards have been created between doctor and patient. Those in yellow are specific mandates and there are 17 new mandates on insurance. Rep. Brady stated this law is so complex he couldn’t get the chart to fit on one page, the chart is only actually 1/3 of the size of the law so he shows “bundles of bureaucracy.” For example, one brown bundle hides 59 grant programs. Green diamonds are the taxes this law has created. In the far right corner are 19 special interest provisions, including the “Louisiana Purchase” and special interests for unions. All the lines are there because of the complexity, a la Glenn Beck’s chalkboard presentations.

Buried deep in the law are19 special sections that cannot be challenged by the courts or any regulatory system. What the public is being sold and what the law actually has are 2 totally different things. House Republicans are dedicated to repealing this law. If they take back the House they plan to block the most egregious parts of this law & replace it with common sense reform. They are also backing states who want to block this law. Rep. Brady stated if these mandates are allowed to stand there are no boundaries to what this government can do.

And jobs created? Yes. Many. 16,500 new IRS agents to police the law and an explosion of jobs in the HHS Department with probably no jobs created in the private sector. This law will eventually need even more taxes to fund it and the US will have an “anchor around Her neck” with difficulty competing with other countries.

Please print out copies of this chart and hand to your friends, families and pass out wherever. The public needs to be educated about the impact of this law and what it will mean for their future.
