“Chicago Way” used in Illinois Dem voter fraud scheme

Reminiscent of a Dem vote-fraud scheme in US PA#8, they tried it again. This time in Illinois. I’m sure none of you are surprised, after all this is the home of our “Thief-in-Chief,” “ACORN-Organizer-in-Chief,” Rahm, Blago and all the untold numbers of Dem Dirty Denizens. The video below tells the story:

This is the first year any Illinois resident can cast their ballot by mail, no excuses necessary. But the deadline for getting those ballots returned narrowed significantly and hundreds of thousands of registered voters risked being disenfranchised, one of those being Chicagoan Rosia Carter. By the time her ballot was received in the mail her concern was it would not be counted because of time constraints.

“By the time I filled it out and sent it in, my vote would not get counted,” Carter said.

Take a look at the 1.00 mark on the video. What is the return address for the ballot to be mailed? NOT the Board of Elections, but the Democratic Party of Illinois, P.O. Box A3952, Chicago Illinois, 60690-9910. Surprise!! I suppose we should give these Dem attempted-crooks some credit because they at least didn’t put in a fake letter from a fake organization like the Dems in PA#8, Bucks County did.

Carter cited more outrage when she called the Illinois Democratic Coordinated Campaign (IDCC) and was told the job had been “farmed out” to a third party and also her birthdate on the ballot was incorrect. Also, many of the ballots received by the Lake County Board of Elections from the IDCC should have gone to Will County.

When asked by ABCNews 7 in Chicago why the IDCC had the ballots sent to their own P.O. box instead of the Board of Elections they responded:

because they “are better able to track the process and make sure there are fewer problems.”

Right, Dems. Do I hear another chance for ballot manipulation here? For anyone caring to read the Dems full response it is here, bottom of the page. However I don’t believe a word of it. And as expected, this whole situation created a huge fiasco for not only voters but the county Board of Elections who were deluged at the last minute with hundreds of thousands of ballots. The reporter tells us this “has the potential of becoming Illinois’ version of the ‘hanging chad.’”

And who helped the Dems with their “vote by mail” scheme effort? None other than Dem Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, who “believes” most of the ballots will be counted on time.

And who exactly is the Chair of the Illinois Dems? Illinois Speaker of the House Mike Madigan, who represents Illinois House #22. Madigan ran again this time, and it was speculated in a recent diary by Moe Lane the Illinois GOP had a “phantom” candidate by the name of Patrick John Ryan running against Madigan, however the Illinois Board of Elections confirms on this document, page 23, Ryan indeed was a candidate against him. I don’t know about others, but this diarist holds accountable the ultimate responsibility of incidents, both good and bad, to the chairs, chiefs and thieves-in-chief so in this case it would be Madigan.

Even though Illinois election results will not be certified and available on-line until Dec. 3, the Chicago Tribune tells us Madigan did retain his seat.

And hailing from Illinois I’m sure Madigan has and has had plenty of experience and teachers in deceit and scheming. Although blogs, pundits and news sources tell us Madigan never “got along” with Blago a picture is always worth a thousand words:

Madigan & Blago

And in the midst of all this mess one progressive organization in Illinois has the unmitigated nerve to complain US Illinois Senate candidate Mark Kirk was deploying attorneys to key precincts to be on the look-out for voter fraud. The Illinois GOP was so alarmed about Illinois being “Ground Zero” for voter fraud they issued this statement.

And one more little tidbit to chew on. Guess who shows up at one of the polling places illegally, electioneering on behalf of the Dems? None other than Michelle O.

“First lady Michelle Obama appears to have violated Illinois law — when she engaged in political discussion at a polling place!

The drama began after Mrs. Obama stopped off at the Martin Luther King Center on the south side of Chicago to cast an early vote…

After finishing at the machine, Obama went back to the desk and handed in her voting key.

She let voters including electrician Dennis Campbell, 56, take some photos.

‘She was telling me how important it was to vote to keep her husband’s agenda going,’ Campbell said.

According to a pool reporter from the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES at the scene, the conversation took place INSIDE the voting center, not far from the booths.

Illinois state law — Sec. 17-29 (a) — states: “No judge of election, pollwatcher, or other person shall, at any primary or election, do any electioneering or soliciting of votes or engage in any political discussion within any polling place [or] within 100 feet of any polling place.”

Yes, FLOTUS. Should have gotten written up like Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee did in Houston. A member of Congress and an occupier of the Oval Office should not be above the law.

Sheila Jackson Lee Illegally in Polling Place

Yea, FLOTUS. A Harvard-educated lawyer doesn’t know “electioneering” is illegal. But not to worry, Gibbs the Fibbs defended her:

‘I don’t think it would be much to imagine, the First Lady might support her husband’s agenda,’ Gibbs smiled.

Chicago and Illinois politics at its finest. I’m sure this stuff is just the tip of the iceberg. If this is what we know, can you imagine what we don’t know?

Pence at Detroit Economic Club: “I choose limited government and freedom”

Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN)

Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN)

Rep. Mike Pence (IN) spoke on November 29 at the Detroit Economic Club on the state of the economy. The speech, entitled, “Restoring American Exceptionalism: A Vision for Economic Growth and Prosperity,” covered an agenda of five issues including sound monetary policy, tax relief and reform, access to American energy, regulatory reform and trade. Here’s part of Pence’s inspiring conclusion:

“The problem with our economy today is that, after years of runaway spending and growth of government under both political parties, America is on that wall between West and East. No longer the vibrant free market that built cities like Detroit but not yet overtaken by the policies that have engulfed Europe in a sea of debt and mediocrity.

“To restore American economic exceptionalism, we have to decide that we believe in it again and turn and pursue a free market economy again with all our hearts.

“We have to choose. Ronald Reagan said it best:

You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man’s age-old dream–the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order — or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism.

“I choose the West. I choose limited government and freedom. I choose the free market, personal responsibility and equality of opportunity. I choose fiscal restraint, sound money, a flat tax, regulatory reform, American energy, expanded trade and a return to traditional values.

“In a word, I choose a boundless American future built on the timeless ideals of the American people. I believe the American people are ready for this choice and await men and women who will lead us back to that future, back to the West, back to American exceptionalism. Here’s to that future. Our best days are yet to come. Thank you.”

Daytona Beach Dem commissioner/crook arrested for voter fraud

Please see my pre-election post here where I mention several of the prominent voter-fraud cases around the country. One of the cases mentioned is one in Daytona Beach, FL.

In Florida, it’s suspected absentee ballot fraud — from within a city commissioner’s office.

I just did a follow-up look-see, dude, Derrick Henry, has been arrested.  Because this is a complicated cause I am pulling from the Daytona Post:

DAYTONA BEACH, FL. – Daytona Beach City Commissioner Derrick Henry and his campaign manager Genesis Robinson were arrested today, charged with committing absentee ballot fraud during Henrys 2010 re-election campaign.

The Daytona Post had previously reported a criminal investigation into the case (See Voter Fraud in the Daytona Beach City Commission Election Prompts Criminal Investigation ). The investigation by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office revealed that Henry and Robinson devised a strategy to boost Henrys re-election bid by obtaining absentee ballots for numerous people, most of whom never requested the ballots.

By law, residents are only allowed to request absentee ballots for themselves, immediate family members or for someone for whom they’re acting as legal guardian.

Several absentee ballots were found at Henrys house when investigators searched it on Sept. 23. Investigators also recovered absentee ballot applications and receipts for some of the absentee ballots. Testimony from people for whom absentee ballots were requested revealed various schemes; some received the ballots in the mail which were never requested by them and shortly after, a Henry campaign volunteer would knock on their door to have the ballot filled-in. Other ballots were in the name of long gone residents, inactive voters and other ineligible voters. As in the past, it is impossible to assess how many ballots in the City Commission election were falsified. [sic]

Robinson admitted to the scheme and said that Henry knew of and approved of the tactics to get elected. [sic]

Fox Orlando reported that Henry, 41, is charged with two counts of absentee ballots and voting violations, nine counts of being a principal to absentee ballots and voting violations and one count of conspiracy to commit absentee ballots and voting violations. Robinson, 21, is facing 11 counts of being a principal to absentee ballots and voting violations and one count of conspiracy to commit absentee ballots and voting violations. All of the charges are 3rd degree felonies. Late Wednesday morning, both men surrendered to investigators with the Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach. If found guilty, each man is facing up to 5-years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine for each felony count in the indictment. Henry, assistant principal at Daytona Beach’s Mainland High School, has been placed on leave by the school district, where he has worked for 18 years. UPDATE: Late Wednesday, but only after widespread media coverage and public pressure, Florida Governor Charlie Crist removed Commisioner Henry from office.

Here is video taken from Fox Orlando on the arrest:

Another Dem election fraud crook bites the dust.

Karma: SEIU Kicks Members’ Kids to the Curb

From RedState, written by union expert LaborUnionReport. Everyone needs to read this and pay attention.

You remember how ObamaCare was all about making health care more affordable and protecting the most vulnerable, right?

And, surely you remember how much money and resources (i.e., members’ dues) the purple behemoth known as the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) put into the fight for ObamaCare—even going so far as (allegedly) beating Kenneth Gladney at a St. Louis town hall meeting.

Heck, it was SEIU’s then president Andy Stern who pushed for the tactic known as “demon pass” that gave us final passage of ObamaCare, formally known as the Affordable HealthCare Act.

Well, somehow we missed this last week:

One of the largest union-administered health-insurance funds in New York is dropping coverage for the children of more than 30,000 low-wage home attendants, union officials said. The union blamed financial problems it said were caused by the state’s health department and new national health-insurance requirements.

The fund is administered by 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union. Union officials said the state compelled the fund to start buying coverage from a third party, which increased premiums by 60%. State health officials denied forcing the union fund to make the switch, saying the fund had been struggling financially even before the switch to third-party coverage.

The fund informed its members late last month that their dependents will no longer be covered as of Jan. 1, 2011. Currently about 6,000 children are covered by the benefit fund, some until age 23.

The union fund faced a “dramatic shortfall” between what employers contributed to the fund and the premiums charged by its insurance provider, Fidelis Care, according to Mitra Behroozi, executive director of benefit and pension funds for 1199SEIU. The union fund pools contributions from several home-care agencies and then buys insurance from Fidelis.

Of course, when it comes to the SEIU, it must be someone else’s fault.

The union said in a statement that the state required the fund to participate in a new program — the Family Health Plus Buy-In Program — beginning in 2008. The union said it expected that by joining the program, many of its members would qualify for state assistance for health-insurance coverage. “Instead they raised insurance rate increases without any increase in funding, and then cut Medicaid funding to the same workers nine times in the last three years,” the union said in a statement.

And, more importantly, the union expects someone else to pay for their mistakes lobbying efforts.

“We hope the state of New York will do the right thing and provide the funding necessary for this most vulnerable population of direct caregivers,” the union said in a statement.

Karma. It has such a nice ring to it. Yet, it seems just too kind of a word to describe the SEIU’s dilemma.

It’s sort of like the SEIU made a big batch of Kool Aid, and now the members’ kids are the only ones drinking it.

[There's only so many waivers one can get from reality.]

Rep-Elect Austin Scott gives weekly GOP address

Rep.-Elect Austin Scott (R-GA) shares his thoughts on the Thanksgiving holiday. Last week, the incoming members of the House Republican Conference elected Rep.-Elect Scott to serve as their president. In the address, Rep.-Elect Scott introduces the freshman class, calling it a “new breed of leaders for a new majority and a new Congress.” He also outlines Republicans’ commitment to listening to the American people and focusing on their priorities: creating jobs, cutting spending, and fixing the way Washington works. These priorities are embodied in the Pledge to America, a governing agenda built by listening to the people. Scott will represent Georgia’s Eighth Congressional District in the 112th Congress.
