OFA/DNC database system now available to Republicans

rvotes

All your enemies are doing it.

The Dems don’t sleep or party during holidays, (except for Obama whom I am sure is playing golf)  that is when they do their plotting. Conservatives should be no different.

Yes, you heard that correctly. The nuke-bomb database interface system built by VAN (Voter Activation Network) is now for sale to Republicans.

Capitalism at its finest, brought to you by the good ole US of A.

Yea, most of you probably know I got an invite to an OFA  on-line webinar about 18 months ago and got screen shots of their mega-database system. And yes, OFA I still have the invite so can’t cry “foul.” Anita Moncrief and I wrote about the system and you can get a snapshot of what the database can do. My article is here and Moncrief follows up with another.

Steve Adler and Mark Sullivan were the founders of Voter Activation Network. They were hired by Howard Dean when he was DNC chair to create the massive database interface system VoteBuilder which was used, and is still used by the DNC and what has reverted back from OFA to “Obama for America.”

For a better understanding of the VoteBuilder system and the players involved, please see this article and pay special attention to the for-profit company Catalist. Catalist holds we believe, almost 100% of the voter records in the country and also names of volunteers, metrics of every precinct in the country and names and emails addresses of anyone who has ever signed up with OFA or the DNC. For all we know they also know what you had for dinner last night. All that data is then loaded into VoteBuilder and the pendulum swings both ways, i.e. VoteBuilder also sends the data they have received back to Catalist.

The two founders of VAN parted and after a five-year non-compete clause Adler went his own way and is offering the same technology and database nuke-bomb that gave Obama the election and got him Obamacare to Republicans.

Stunning news.

I have spent many hours on the phone with Steve Adler and I am convinced he is NOT a Dem  operative as your first thoughts might be. He is a capitalist. Ain’t that what we as conservatives have been touting all this time? Not socialism and spreading the wealth around as we have been told lately we need to do.

Adler lives in Rhode Island and built the database system which is a mirror image of OFA/DNC’s VoteBuilder for the Rhode Island Republican Party. And yes, I have seen the database system in operation twice and can give testimony it is almost an exact replica of VoteBuilder. And yes, I have spoken with Ken McKay who is Rhode Island’s GOP chair and he stated he is very happy with the system and Mr. Adler’s expertise.

The name of Adler’s sytem is Rvotes. The system can and does do the following:

  • Complete, web based Campaign Managment
  • Voter Contact Systems
  • Voter Registration Drive
  • Early /Absentee Vote by Mail
  • Real-time, GOTV
  • iPhone, BlackBerry and Android compatible
  • Event Management
  • Volunteer Management
  • Web Based, Virtual Phone Banking
  • Blast Email / Phone
  • Fully Coordinated and Cooperative Campaigning
  • Bar-Coded, Web enabled walking and calling lists
  • Precision Data
  • Palm Pilot, iPhone & SmartPhone Canvassing / GOTV
  • Unified Database
  • Data Warehousing
  • Open Data Architecture
  • “Macronano” Targeting™
  • Facebook friendly
  • Data Import and Export
  • Case Management
  • Unified database design
  • Constituency Management

On voting day the system also allows poll watchers to download info into a smartphone of voters registered at that polling place. Names of those who have shown up to vote can be recorded in the smartphone, and those names go back into the database. If John Doe shows up to vote again later in the day, the poll watcher via his smartphone will get a warning that “John Doe has already voted.”  The smartphone will also alert the poll watcher to those who have said they would vote, but haven’t shown up to vote. The poll watcher can then ask a volunteer to call those people who haven’t voted and offer them a ride to the polling station.

Pretty neat.

Adler tells me his initial goal is to get 12 battleground states up and running. He already has all the voter information ready and available for Ohio and can build the Ohio system in 2-3 weeks.  To get Ohio up and running fairly quickly would be huge, as Ohio went blue in 2008 for the first time in many years. Also if you recall Ohio was heavily in the news in 2008 because of the mess with ACORN.

These 12 battleground states have not been fully determined as of yet, however, any state, Tea Party or candidate can get involved with the system. Data can be shared back and forth between systems as long as both parties agree.

The biggest threat of the DNC/OFA database interface is that info is shared nationwide, depending on the permissions of the user one can access data of any state or individual.

So in the same words of the man who now occupies the Oval Office: Let me be perfectly clear.

This system if implemented can assist in taking back the White House for Conservatives and Republicans and other Republican offices as well. The lefties can lose big and the righties can win big. We just need to come up with the financing.

Contact info for Steve Adler: yes, it’s on his website.

Voices from the Gulf: Stop the energy freeze

This youtube is primarily from a worker and his business directly impacted by Obama’s de facto drill moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico and the slow walking of permits. From the Heritage Foundation and the Institute for Energy Research:

One thing you don’t calculate, is the government coming into your business and shutting it down.

But that is what Obama did on May 27, 2010 after the Deep Water Horizon accident. Obama shut down ALL drilling and suspended the issuance of new deep water permits to drill for 6 months. So he said. Workers thought they would be back to work after that but just the opposite has happened.

The moratorium was “officially ended” but the problem arose when no NEW permits were issued. One business reports a loss of over 55% of revenue last year and over 90% loss of revenue this year.

Sen Mary Landrieu (D-LA) even testified about her concerns. Michael Bromwich of BOEMRE (Bureau of Ocean Energy, Management, Regulation and Enforcement) tried to skirt the issue of how many new drilling permits were issued. Landrieu caught his misstep. Bromwich said 14 new drills permits have been issued however Sen. Landrieu corrected him and said:

We have ONE new deep water drilling out of 14.

Yes, an economic calamity and a really, really, bad situation has been created. Costing jobs, revenue, income, economic pain for both businesses and consumers.

And if that wasn’t enough. Obama announced with all the oil and gas reserves in the US, he made a trip to Brazil, gave them money to drill and then said he wants the US to be:

One of your biggest customers.

Talk about the ultimate betrayal. Obama has been hostile to new drilling in the Gulf but then goes to Brazil and says he wants to support their offshore drilling, and then we want to buy your oil.

As one worker puts it, it’s like:

Obama is declaring war on American energy workers.

Former Attorney General Mukasey: Prosecuting CIA Agents ‘Unconscionable’

Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey talked exclusively with Heritage today, giving us his unbarred thoughts about what’s been going on at the Justice Department. A quick excerpt from Rob Bluey’s post on this:

Following a speech at The Heritage Foundation, former Attorney General Michael Mukasey called Holder’s handling of matter “absolutely outrageous.” He said the cases involving CIA employees were settled by career prosecutors who determined the prosecutions should not go forward.

“The current attorney general, when he took office, without reading the memos, directed that those investigations be reopened,” Mukasey said. “I think that was an unconscionable thing to do — not only to the people involved, but also to the agency, which is demoralized by something like that. People were essentially told they can’t rely on opinions of the Justice Department.”

Mukasey added that Holder’s actions against the CIA operatives would stifle intelligence gathering by the United States.

You can watch the full 4 minuted video below:

It’s really outrageous what is being done to these people. This just should not go forth. They don’t deserve it and we MUST protect intelligence gathering in the future to protect America!

Watchdog Issa’s report on high gas prices: yes Obama, you ARE to blame

In a really not-so-surprising 43-page report, House Committee Oversight and Reform Chair Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA 49) has confirmed what we already know: Obama and his minions ARE the ones responsible for the rising gasoline prices that are hurting jobs, the economy and consumers. Full text below:

REPORT – Rising Energy Costs an Intentional Result of Government Action

Key points of the document:

  • Page 2, under FINDINGS: President Obama, Energy Secretary Chu and others have stated that American consumers should pay more for energy, including electricity and gasoline. From a political perspective, increasing the price of energy (by whatever means) helps them make the case for “green” energy. Even beyond the effort to raise energy prices through “cap and trade” legislation that Congress rejected, a pattern of increased enforcement, regulatory delay and new hurdles can be seen across numerous agencies and approval processes. The result of this government action is less production, higher costs for producers, and more expensive energy.
  • By 2015, fields in these areas could yield more daily oil than the Gulf of Mexico produces today, boosting domestic production by 20-40 percent and increasing our energy independence if government action does not severely restrict development and yields.
  • Even before the Gulf oil spill, the Department of the Interior had undertaken significant steps to restrict access to much of the energy resources located in the outer continental shelf: Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico, and along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts
  • Page 3: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed placing the dunes sagebrush lizard that lives in New Mexico and Texas on the Endangered Species list—designation that would severely restrict production activity in a resource-rich part of Texas.

Take a look at this one, still from page 3: [emphasis mine]

  • In an email message reviewed by the Committee, environmental advocates and EPA’s Texas-based regional director exchanged celebratory accolades for efforts that create barriers to energy production. One exchange concluded: “Yee haw! Hats off to the new Sheriff and his deputies!”

And we remember this quote from Obama (page 4):

Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. … Coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money.

Issa tells us this also on page 4:

  • Some of his key cabinet officials have expressed similar views. Prior to his confirmation as Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu, then director of the Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, advocated raising gas taxes–and therefore prices–to encourage the sale of more-efficient cars: “[s]omehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.

It’s a long, and worrisome read. The conclusion begins on page 41. One key point Issa makes:

A pattern of evidence, as well as statements from before President Obama and Secretary of Energy Chu took office about the need for Americans to pay higher energy costs, raise alarming concerns about the existence of a campaign, across government agencies. This campaign aims to block carbon-based energy extraction, to tax it, and to otherwise increase its cost of use. The effort is occurring simultaneously with calls to heavily subsidize the development and use of “green energy.”

Yep, no conspiracy here.
