Bat-crazy college kids meet with EPA’s Jackson to *dump coal*

bat shit crazy

Every once in a while you get lucky. Right place, right time. I just happened to see a tweet fly by from @laborunionrpt with “coal + Lisa Jackson + college kids”  in it. Well you can imagine how my eyes & ears immediately perked up because as we all know this combo can’t be good.

Miss Lisa just happened to meet with a bunch of college kids in DC to hear their progress of *dumping coal* as an energy source from their schools. Here is what Jackson said:

“It’s so important that your voices are heard, that campuses that are supposed to be teaching people aren’t meanwhile polluting the surrounding community with mercury and costing the children a few IQ points [emphasis mine] because of the need to generate power. It’s simply not fair,” Jackson said.

Unbelievable. Yea Lisa. Nothing on your EPA BLOG about this, so I guess you thought you could keep this little tidbit hidden. But ain’t it ironic that these kids are from some of the biggest coal producing states in the nation: Kentucky and Indiana. One student from Indiana, Lauren Kastner whined:

“In Indiana we get more than 90 percent of our electricity from coal. This means that fish in our lakes and streams are polluted with mercury and other pollutants from coal ash and combustion,” Kastner said.

Yep. We have heard about the poor fish, the salamanders, the mayflies. None of which have been proven to be at risk from coal.   How about people, Lauren? You gonna fend through those long, hard winters in Indiana without the electricity and heat given to you by coal?

And here is a quote from another *concerned* college kid:

Mary Anne Hitt of the Sierra Club said the students were learning how the energy systems on their campuses worked, talking to school leaders and learning how to organize. There are about 60 schools with central coal-fired heating and cooling plants, and so far 17 of them have agreed to phase out coal, she said.

Mary Ann wrote an article for Kos and she calls herself and all her activist friends “youth clean energy leaders.”

These kids are part of the “Beyond Coal” campaign I wrote about several months ago.  Mike Bloomberg gave the Sierra Club a donation of $50 MILLION to *dump coal.* Not just future coal plants, but present ones. These kiddies even have a little “club” called the Sierra Student Coalition. Here’s a nice little vid they’ve come up with:

Lauren and Mary Ann: We do have a *concern* here which you haven’t addressed. A poor endangered bat just happened to fly into a windmill in Pennsylvania last week at night causing them all to be shut down until at least November 15 when they migrate.  So no coal, no wind. No *green energy.*

Hope you all freeze your tuckases off. Cuz according to the Institute for Energy Research a  ton of coal-fired plants are gonna be closing thanks to EPA regs and campaigns like yours.

Cuddle up. Just remember those electric blankets run on electricity, which is most probably produced by, you guessed it.

COAL.

Samuel Wurzelbacher, AKA “Joe the Plumber” announces for U.S. House Ohio #9

After much speculation “Joe the Plumber” has officially thrown his hat into the ring.

At a casual presser in East Toledo he formally announced his candidacy against long-term incumbent Marcy Kaptur (D).

Kaptur has held captive Ohio #9 for the last 29 years and is considered one of the most powerful and progressive women in the House.

Although Joe told me via telephone he wished there was a “Tea Party” candidate category he will be running as a Republican. Below is video taken by me at his kick-off presser this evening:

From his presser:

Joe Wurzelbacher (Joe the Plumber) gained national prominence when he asked then presidential candidate, Barack Obama, a question about his tax plan. The conversation was captured by an ABC cameraman and Joe’s life would never again be the same.

His story came to symbolize the idea of spreading the wealth in the 2008 presidential campaign. Through massive amounts of mud-slinging and name bashing, Joe never backed down from his principles. To this

day he continues to fight for the working man so they have the opportunity to fulfill their true American dream.

Joe has been an avid outdoorsman since childhood and as a US Air Force Veteran believes very passionately in the health and happiness of our wounded soldiers.

We’ll be hearing a lot more from Joe in the coming months and I’ll keep you posted. I do know this. I have lived in NW Ohio during the long term stranglehold of Kaptur and all need to help defeat her. Ohio is now under a redistricting war and what remains to be seen is if Kaptur will be running for the Dem primary against Kucinich.

Thanks Joe for undertaking this momentous effort. The Conservatives in NW Ohio will be working hard to ensure a defeat against Kaptur.

Joe’s twitter handle is @Joe4Congress12

Facebook

His website is here.

Romney in Ohio today REFUSES to endorse Issues 2 & 3

I can’t tell the rest of you how important Issues #2 & #3 are in Ohio. After all, “As Ohio goes, so goes the nation.”

Issue #2, if passed, would uphold Governor Kasich’s SB5 which is similar to Scott Walker’s union bill in Wisconsin. The Ohio Democratic Party “waged war” after Kasich signed the bill into law and (after all, UNIONS feel they are losing more and more of their grip…) and obtained enough signatures to put the issue in front of Ohio voters this November.

A “yes” vote on Issue #3 would allow Ohioans to opt out of the mandatory H/C portion of Obamacare. Two major issues which could have major consequences for the rest of the nation. I can’t tell all of you how hard Conservatives in Ohio have been working to ensure passage of both these issues.

But in a stunning revelation today as Governor Romney paid a visit to Ohio, specifically a phone bank in Terrence Park where people were making calls to urge passage of both Issues 2 & 3, Romney refused to talk to the press but instead announced to Ohio GOP Chair Kevin Dewine he would not endorse either issue 2 or 3. A major blow to the morale of everyone in Ohio and to this writer, a clear indication that Romney, even though he claims, is not a true Conservative.

CNN’s Peter Hamby put this tweet out:

Peter Hamby on twit & Romney SB5

“I’m not saying anything one way or the other about the two ballot issues,” Romney told DeWine. “But I am supportive of the Republican party’s efforts here.”

According to the Examiner Washington the Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Columbus Dispatch, The Ohio Chamber of Commerce, Tim Pawlenty and multiple mayors have backed Kasich’s law.

It’s probable to this writer Romney’s refusal to endorse Issue #3 stems from his failed RomneyCare while he was governor.

But as a candidate for the highest office in the land, the obvious question is:

How can anyone expect Romney after this debacle to fight the unions if he becomes president?

I hope all the other Republican candidates are paying attention…

10th Circuit re-instates Clintons’s *roadless rules* policy

roadless area

In another stunning, but not surprising development, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals has re-instated former President Clinton’s national *roadless rule* policy. This is another blow to job creation especially those in the logging and mining industry.

This has a long and convoluted history. A few days before G.W. Bush was sworn into office in 2001, then President Clinton passed the controversial policy which banned road-building from most roadless areas in the country. Bush after entering office modified this ruling to allow the states to have a more active say and allow them to have their own regulations. However via the Denver Post:

In 2009, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in California upheld a lower court decision to reinstate the roadless rule for the majority of roadless areas. Obama administration officials have expressed support for a national rule and asked the Tenth Circuit appeals court to uphold the 2001 rule.

Ah, that pesky Ninth Circuit again. Where have we heard about them before. Ruling that the Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial Cross is unconstitutional, for one.

Now today the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals has issued a ruling to re-instate Clinton’s policy to protect 49 million acres from road-building even though Colorado had tried to implement its own plan to protect 4.1 million acres. The 10th Circuit’s ruling overturns a Wyoming district court’s ruling that blocked implementation of the rule.

Of course environmentalists are ecstatic claiming that residents in these areas can only get “clean water” if these land areas are not tainted by industry and people who need JOBS. And let’s not forget about all those “endangered species” like the delta smelt, lizards, salamanders, mayflies and that sea lion in the GOM which has shut down fishing there.

In an email from the House Natural Resources Committee, Chairman Rep. Doc Hastings (R-WA) issued this statement:

“For over a decade, the Clinton Roadless Rule has locked up millions of acres of land from the American people and today the Obama Administration continues to employ this job destroying policy. Our public lands are intended to be multiple use and the Committee will continue to work to keep them open and accessible to all Americans for both recreation and job creation.” – Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings (WA-04).”

Obama and his minions have succeeded in blocking up to this point oil, gas, fishing, coal, mining, and logging. Have I left anything out?

Oh, BTW. I read someplace yesterday that some windmills in Kentucky were shut down at night because *bats* were flying into them and getting killed.

Undercover shocker: Medicaid will pay $9K for late term abortions

Yes. Abortion is not healthcare. Abortion is not healthcare It is murder in my book. From the day of conception. More angst and shock from an undercover caller to a New Mexico abortion clinic who tells a woman who tells the answerer she is 26 weeks pregnant and wishes a late term abortion because her husband lost his job, that abortion will be paid for by Medicaid.

Medicaid currently pays for abortions in 15 states: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia.

The website “Fund Abortion Now” even coaches women on how to enroll in Medicaid “fast” so if they live in one of these states they can get that abortion. If you can stomach it, below is the call from a woman testing the waters of the Southwestern Women’s Options abortion clinic in Albuquerque run by “doctors” Curtis and Glenna Boyd:

On the video you will hear talk of “BPD measurement” which stands for “bi-parietal diameter” which is a measurement of the baby’s head from side to side.  It is used to assist in dating the pregnancy. Multiplying the number by 4 will give a rough estimate of the number of weeks into the pregnancy.

And if this isn’t enough, this same *clinic* has had the paramedics visit 11 times in the last 2 years for post-abortion emergencies. According to this video the abortionists are Curtis Boyd, Susan Robinson and Shelley Sella.

I’m not even going to call these people *doctors.* They are really *murderers for hire* at the taxpayer’s expense.

Yesterday Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) introduced the “heartbeat bill” which if passed would require abortion providers to make the heartbeat of the unborn child visible and audible to the woman considering an abortion.
