Boehner will focus on repealing Obamacare

Interviewed by Fox News’ Bret Baer, Rep. Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) at this point presumed to be the new Speaker of the House in Nancy Pelosi’s place said:

“Trust me. I’m Going To Make Sure This Healthcare Bill Is Never, Ever, Ever Implemented.” Let’s listen in:

It’s official: Pelosi UNFAVORABLE to 71% of Americans

Best news Conservatives have heard in a long time. A new Gallup poll shows today Speaker Pelosi’s “favorability rating” at a new all-time low of 29%. Yep, you heard that correctly. 29%. How many “yip yip, hoorays!!” am I hearing from everyone out there.

The American public is signaling to you that we have had enough Madame Speaker: you have overstepped your bounds in a multitudinous number of ways and it is finally catching up with you.

Gallup tells us that Minority House Speaker John Boehner’s “favorability rating” is slightly lower than it was at the same point last year, but the reasoning is because Speaker Boehner has more name recognition now. From the same Gallup post:

Pelosi’s image has gone from bad to worse in recent months, with independents, in particular, growing more critical of her. Her resulting 2-to-1 negative to positive image presents a challenge for congressional Democrats as they try to convince voters to send them back to Washington for another term.

The House GOP Conference blog gives us some additional insight into this issue, citing one of the most obvious reasons being her stance on “enhanced interrogation techniques” of terrorist suspects housed at Guantanamo Bay and the dispute with the CIA over whether she was “aware” of these techniques.

Madame Speaker, you might want to wipe that smile off your face.

Californians, please vote and support John Dennis (R) for Pelosi’s seat.

And from the GOP, please donate to Fire Pelosi! The GOP reminds us everyday how important this is. After all, this is how the outside of the RNC headquarters in DC is now decorated:

Pence Urges Open Debate on Democrat Tax Increases

“Raising taxes on job creators will not create jobs, especially during the worst economy in decades.”

Washington, DC – U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, issued the following statement today in support of House Republican Leader John Boehner’s letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, demanding an open debate on taxes:

Boehner_PelosiOpenDebateLetter

“No American taxpayer should face a tax increase on January 1, and this issue deserves a full and transparent debate on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. I stand with Leader Boehner and my Republican colleagues in urging Speaker Pelosi to allow the American people to express their will through their elected representatives on a matter that will affect every American taxpayer.

“Raising taxes on job creators will not create jobs, especially during the worst economy in decades. The American people want Congress to act quickly to prevent the coming tax hikes. With our nation’s unemployment rate near 10 percent, it’s vital that the White House and House Democrats not play political games with the economy. I hope Democrat leaders in Congress will respond to the need to come together in a bipartisan way to stop the president’s planned tax increases.”

Pelosi calls for investigation of those opposing Ground Zero mosque

If the mental anguish of those of us opposed to the building of a mosque at Ground Zero wasn’t enough, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi today added insult to injury by calling for an investigation of those who are “opposing it.” She’s got to be kidding, right? But no, she isn’t.

She told KCBS radio in San Francisco today:

“There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded,” she said. “How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we’ve been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City.”

This picture of the newly renovated RNC headquarters in DC pretty much sums up my feelings at the moment:

Hey Congress! Listen to the kid!

kid and Congressjpg

I learned as a parent to be careful what I said in front of my kids, because you never know when they would repeat or blurt out what you said in an embarrassing situation.

But many times kids can be down-right astute and innocent to the point where they can see clearly what adults can’t, just like the wise little boy above.

Yeh, Congress. It’s very clear you can’t count and don’t know your math. Otherwise you’d realize we have a massive, unsustainable debt that will keep our kids and grandkids in hock for generations. Kids love to scream out “but it isn’t fair!” Yep, Mr. Obama. It ain’t fair. It isn’t fair to legacy all these debts to our descendants, but you and your cabal in Congress don’t get it.

But it doesn’t matter. You will be taken care of for life, even Congress. Healthcare, pensions, etc. You guys won’t ever have to worry about money.

Then there is Miss “Most-Powerful-Woman-in-US-History” Madame Pelosi flitting around in her tax-payer subsidized 757 gloating about her socialist power-grab of 1/6 of the US economy with her passage of Pelosi-care. And as for you, Mr. Obama! what happened to your promise to work with the Republicans in Congress? Seems to have gone out the window, along with most of your other promises.

Rep. House Minority Leader John Boehner & House Minority Whip Eric Cantor sent you this letter on February 4 of this year, urging you to work with them in reining in the out-of-control spending. More than two months later, they tell us they have had no response from you. And here is a report dated April 7 of this year from ranking Republican Paul Ryan outlining all the negatives of Zero-care. But I guess you aren’t listening, and what’s more don’t care. After all, passing Zero-care was one of the few campaign promises you actually did keep. I know, you ain’t really a doctor, you just play one on TV:

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke in a Wall Street Journal article on April 7 said this:

huge U.S. budget deficits threaten the nation’s long-term economic health and should be addressed soon.

Everyone including the little boy above, except you, seem to realize this. But you’ll be taken care of for life. Making the rest of us fend for ourselves. But then maybe all I have to do is spend all my money foolishly, take out a huge mortgage, go bankrupt and join this woman:

Yep. Gonna get my mortgage paid, and gas put in my car. All without working.

The Outstanding Public Debt as of 12 Apr 2010 at 09:14:57 PM GMT is:

debtiv

The estimated population of the United States is 308,182,277, so each citizen’s share of this debt is $41,657.02.

Thanks Obama, Pelosi and Congress for the great “present.”
