Double dare ya, Nancy. Try and RAM it down our throats…

The stinkhole that DC has become, mostly, but not all, because of the “Donkey tribe’s” Chicago-style arm-twisting, bribes and kick-backs, is almost enough to make one want to move to Vannu Attu and open up a little bar on the beach.

But I love this country, and would never abandon Her. After all, in the words of Martin Luther King, Jr:

We Will Overcome

Maybe not right away, but mark my words, it will happen eventually.

In the meantime, me thinks it might be wise for Madame Pelosi and her cabal to take notice of the message on this “dangerous grandma’s” protest sign from one of the rallies:

Ram it down our throats resized

Today has again revealed a plethora of info and updates on the healthcare debacle. From House.gov comes a list of House Reps identified as those who will “make or break” the vote:

  1. Jason Altmire (PA) (update: CBS reported at 4:27pm he is a “no” )
  2. Michael Arcuri (NY)
  3. John Boccieri (OH) (Just got word that he is voting yes)
  4. Jim Costa (CA)
  5. Brad Ellsworth (IN)
  6. Gabby Giffords (AZ)
  7. Suzanne Kosmas (FL)
  8. Betsey Markey (CO)
  9. Scott Murphy (NY)
  10. Bart Stupak (MI)
  11. John Tanner (TN)

Here is a link to their contact information. Sorry, they don’t have a spiffy website like GOP.gov does and it will be a little more difficult to look up their contact info.

Politico has broken the “undecideds” into four groups. Interesting analysis on their part.

Letter to Pelosi from CBO on cost estimates, dated 3-18-10. I am not an analyst of tables, but contact at House.gov tells me this is $2 trillion.

Gallup: Americans Believe Dem Health Care Bill Will Make Things Worse For The Country. And For Themselves.

Senate’s bill. Only 2,409 pages. Knock yourself out.

And finally, here is John Boehner on Fox and Friends this morning, telling us:

This is going to be a very close vote.

But we already knew that.

BTW: On the vid, notice on the screen “What was Kucinich promised to change his vote?”

kucinich

Looks like he got a spiffy tin-foil hat.

“Wreckonciliation”

Apparently the cabal in DC didn’t read my post Time to ready the pitchforks and torches because they are still hell-bent on passing this monstrosity. wreckconciliationFor those of you who are masochists and want to read the whole 2,309-page sorry, malodorous mess, knock yourselves out. And apparently no one in Congress has read the bill either, because who can forget Madame Pelosi saying:

We have to hurry up and pass this bill so we know what’s in it.

I’m sure by now all of you know about the “Slaughter Rule” proposed by Louise Slaughter (D-NY) which would deem the Senate bill passed without a vote. Erick Erickson of RedState has a good post today “Slaughter Rule” Strategy Unprecedented which includes an analysis by the WSJ which debunks Pelosi’s claim that the “rule” has been used before. Madame Pelosi forgets she challenged a similar tactic in 2005 by the Republicans, and guess who joined her in the fight against it? none other than Waxman and Slaughter herself. Do we hear the word “hypocrites” here?

Who can forget Queen Nancy choking up after the 9/12 Tea Party, fearing “violence” from all those grandmas and grandpas in DC and the rest of the country protesting the Healthcare takeover?

Nancy, if you are so “afraid of violence,” then why don’t you and the rest of your little troop stop trying to ram this bill down the throats of the 73% of the population who are opposed to it?

My pick for best line on a protest sign by a tea bagger:

Grandma isn’t shovel ready.

Are you, Madame Pelosi, shovel ready?

door

By the way. Louise Slaughter is chair of the House Rules Committee. Here is the sign on her door.

Time to ready the pitchforks and torches

I’m not advocating sedition mind you, but there comes a time when enough is enough!

With the imminent passage of the unwanted monstrosity of a Heathcare bill, it seems to me we are in France, circa 1789. I don’t know how many history buffs there are out there, but for those of you who are not aware, the Big Event in 1789 was the French Revolution and the storming of the Bastille.

I have been to Paris. I’ve been to Bastille Square. I’ve also been inside the dungeon where Marie Antoinette was held prisoner until she lost her head. Literally. Not a very pleasant place.

With King Louis the XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette fully ensconced in the Senate and House, and the Messiah watching over them, I fully expect to hear the words ” let them eat cake.” Or did I miss that one. The obliviousness of the “Big 3″ to the wishes of the 73% of Americans outside their doorstep is tantamount to the same situation in France. The power-hungry, narcissistic attitudes of all three boggle the mind, and their mentality of “we know what’s best for you, will of the people be damned” is a recipe for potential unpleasantness after this Healthcare passage.

Tom Harkin, Barack Obama, and other left-wingers, per Erick Erickson of RedState, are asking this question:

If Republicans are so sure passing health care reform will doom the Democrats in November, why not help them pass it?

See what I mean. These guys have all lost their heads. Figuratively.

I’ve been to the costume shop. You can get a cheap, plastic pitchfork there for about $5. And they also carry those torches people use for Hawaiian luau parties. You can get yourself some good protest gear for about $15. Not a bad price. Supplies for my signs at the Tea Parties cost me more than that.

By the way. When Pelosi finally is booted out, I’ve got dibs on her 757. I’m gonna hold a raffle and the 20 winners get to ride along. Then when we’re in the air, we’ll have a bet pool and see how long it takes us to go through $100,000 of liquor.
